My daughter will be turning 22 on April 16th, and this year I’m hoping to make her birthday extra special .

She has had a tough few years since graduating high school. She made the incredibly hard (and brave) decision to walk away from a toxic friend group, and even took the step to go to therapy so she could heal and grow. I couldn’t be more proud of the strength she’s shown.

Right now, her circle is small—just one close girlfriend and her boyfriend—but she’s building a healthier, happier life for herself every day.

On top of everything, she’s been through three car accidents, with the most recent leaving her with two bulging discs and a 4mm disc herniation, possibly additional issues. She’s currently pushing through physical therapy and daily pain with so much resilience.

Despite all of this, she continues to work incredibly hard toward her future. She’s in school to become a Radiology Technician, and she’s also working part-time as a barista. She truly inspires me with her determination and heart.

She’s a total nerd at heart—she loves computer gaming and games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic The Gathering.  She also loves cats, cozy things, and little surprises that make her smile—and I would love to show her just how supported and celebrated she is.
